29 years making chamber music

In December 1996, three young Spanish musicians gathered for the first time in Madrid with the intention of forming a stable piano trio. We were united by an irresistible passion for chamber music and the firm belief that, with hard work, we could carve out a place for ourselves in the wonderful world of chamber music. Among our goals were to cultivate the historic repertoire for our ensemble (our first program included Brahms’ first trio and Schubert’s first trio!) and, at the same time, to unearth treasures from our often neglected musical heritage, while also serving as a vehicle for contemporary creation through close collaboration with composers of our time.

We chose the name "Arbós" as a banner for a legendary figure in Spanish music who, through his dual role as a violinist and conductor, managed to elevate these objectives to the highest level.
